Chairman re-elected at United Way
WESTAMPTON - A Mount Laurel attorney has been elected for a second one-year term as chairman of the board of directors for United Way of Burlington County.

Philip Norcross, 40, managing shareholder and chief executive officer of the Parker, McCay & Criscuolo law firm in Evesham, will lead the board, which consists of business, government, labor and nonprofit agency representatives.

Born in Camden, Norcross is a former Mount Laurel Board of Education member. He is vice chairman of the Mount Laurel Education Foundation. Before becoming chairman of the board of directors, he served on the board for 10 years.

Also elected at the April 16 meeting was Burlington County Clerk Philip Haines, who will serve a second year as chairman of the annual United Way campaign. The 2002-03 campaign raised more than $5 million.

Donna Thomas, a Willingboro resident and Burlington County Times employee, will serve her first year as chairwoman of community investments. Thomas will work with nearly 100 volunteers from across the county to determine funding for programs at nonprofit agencies addressing community needs.

Other board members elected were Richard Yeager, a Moorestown resident and artist who will serve his 13th year as chairman of the marketing and communications committee, and Charles Lucas, a Southampton resident who will serve his third year as chairman of the finance committee.
