Parker McCay Attorneys Participate in School Law Case Study and Mock Mediation
Marlton, NJ, April 1, 2010 - Parker McCay attorneys, Paul C. Kalac, John E. Collins and Shannon L. Hudak recently participated in the "IEP Litigation Avoidance Case Study and Mock Mediation," held by the New Jersey School Boards Association Insurance Group.

Mr. Kalac led a discussion on understanding special education issues, along with an overview of the due process hearing. Following the discussion was the mock mediation presented by Mr. Kalac, Mr. Collins and Ms. Hudak. Both the parents' case and Board of Education's case were presented.

Mr. Kalac represents public school boards of education in all areas affecting their operation. He focuses on special education law, representing dozens of school districts throughout New Jersey. Mr. Kalac also serves as labor negotiator representing school districts in bargaining for collective negotiation agreements.

Mr. Collins focuses his practice on education law and employment law, having served as an assistant counsel to the New Jersey School Boards Association and having directly represented numerous New Jersey boards of education. Ms. Hudak focuses her practice on representing public school boards of education in all areas affecting their operations, including special education and labor and employment.
