Phyllis E. Bross Discusses Environmental Law with Temple University Law Students Marlton, NJ, March 12, 2010 - Parker McCay Counsel, Phyllis E. Bross, was a recent featured speaker at Temple University, Beasley School of Law. She presented a discussion on environmental law. The program provided a forum for Temple law students led by a panel of experts in the environmental law field. Panelists discussed the best types of courses to take in law school to prepare for a career in environmental law, and what a typical day of an environmental lawyer is like. In respect to her particular practice, Ms. Bross discussed the meaning of, and policies surrounding, brownfields and why environmental law is an important component of redevelopment law. Ms. Bross concentrates her practice in the areas of Brownfields redevelopment and environmental law, with an emphasis in the acquisition, remediation and reuse of contaminated sites. She serves as redevelopment counsel for several southern New Jersey communities. Ms. Bross is a member of the New Jersey State, Burlington County and Gloucester County Bar Associations, and the New Jersey chapter of the Society of Women Environmental Professionals. She is also a member of the National Brownfield association, where she is Chair of the New Jersey Chapter's Legal Committee. Ms. Bross is a recipient of the 2005 New Jersey Brownfields Redevelopment Award presented by the New Jersey Brownfields Redevelopment Task Force. She is the author of several articles on Brownfields topics and lectures statewide on environmental and redevelopment issues.
