John C. Gillespie Discusses "Pay-to-Play" Law Marlton, NJ, May 21, 2007 - Parker McCay shareholder John C. Gillespie was a featured commentator at a recent seminar titled "Pay-to-Play: The Current State of the Law," presented by the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education. The program was designed for municipal attorneys, school board attorneys, planning/zoning attorneys, and any attorneys who represent either businesses or other entities seeking government contracts at the state, county or municipal levels. The program discussed recently enacted restrictions on political contributions which impact the practice commonly referred to as "Pay-to-Play." A panel of experts thoroughly reviewed the restrictions on "Pay-to-Play" and provided attendees with practical guidance on how the rules apply to them and their clients. Mr. Gillespie is chair of Parker McCay's Municipal and Government Relations practice group, and is experienced in all areas of municipal law, including governmental defense litigation, land use and development.
