Brian M. Guest Speaks on Public Contracting at the TCTANJ's 44th Annual Spring Conference

Parker McCay counsel, Brian M. Guest, was a speaker for the "Public Contracting" seminar at the Tax Collectors and Treasurers Association of New Jersey's 44th Annual Spring Conference. His presentation focused on the Local Public Contracts Law, related statutes and applicable Administrative Code provisions. Mr. Guest emphasized the importance of Treasurers and CFOs being involved at early stages of the capital projects planning, budgeting, shared service and contract implementation processes. The conference was held on May 17-19, 2011 at the Tropicana Hotel in Atlantic City, New Jersey. The "Public Contracting" seminar was approved for one continuing education unit for "CFO/CCFO - Budgeting" and "RMC-Finance".

Mr. Guest has represented municipalities, public utilities and private clients for over 35 years. He focuses his practice on government and administrative law issues, planning and zoning, redevelopment, land use, and commercial real estate. In addition, he represents non-profit organizations on a wide variety of issues. Mr. Guest has taught the legal segment of the entrepreneurial classes offered by Burlington County College. He has also taught courses on the Municipal Land Use Law, the Open Public Records Act and attorney ethics.
